On behalf of Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service, I would like to thank you very much for the product donation of alarm system required to fully secure our new offices in Maidenhead that will bring us closer to our hospice build site as we plan to break ground later this year.

It is an incredibly generous donation and will ensure we continue to maintain minimal costs associated with the office relocation and enable us to remain focussed on supporting and caring for local families in our community.

There are currently over 600 children in the Berkshire area with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions who could benefit from our service provision. Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Services funds Alexander's Nurses offering specialist respite and end of life care for our special children and their families in their homes. We currently support over 70 children from the ages of 0 to 19 through our Alexander's Care Team. These children will often have very complex illnesses which can affect fine and gross motor skills, key functions or learning abilities. They require constant medical attention so parents become carers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; they need support, advice and opportunities for rest.

Our services are completely free of charge. We rely solely on the support and generosity of our local communities in order to carry out the vital work that we do.

Thank you once again for your valued support - together we are making a huge difference to the lives of local children suffering from life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
