A Berkshire children’s charity has settled into its new home thanks to the help of a group of volunteers and supporters from across the county and beyond. Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service successfully moved into its new offices in White Waltham, near Maidenhead, on September 12.

"Lock Snapping" and how it can be avoided with GCD Security
Recently, it has come attention to the press and TV producers, that since 2009, there has been an evident rise in the snapping of cylinder locks by burglars, to gain entry to a property.
The Master Locksmiths Association has recently taken it's own part on this story by being asked to report to BBC's 'Inside Out' about the lock standards and how this problem can be avoided.

| MLA Uses Ruling to Issue Warning
The Master Locksmiths Association is warning members of the public and businesses to be on their guard when using the services of unlicensed locksmiths.
The warning comes following the Governments ruling which comes into force this week (w/c 13th July 2009) that the Master Locksmiths Association is now entitled to carry out standard Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks into the backgrounds of its members and would be locksmiths applying for MLA training or licences.
This is yet further proof of how the MLA is helping to regulate the locksmithing industry and shows the emphasis that the government puts on the MLA.
