In 1974, Eddie Clarke, aware of the lack of security facilities in the Thames Valley area, established our original company GCD Security in order to provide a comprehensive burglary prevention service both to the community and the industry.  GCD has gained a reputation for quality and value for money backed by a first class service.

Initially we concetrated on Locksmithing through our retail shop where we train our own apprentices Locksmiths.  In the late 70's we began to install intruder and fire alarms.

Based in Maidenhead covering the Thames Valley and surrounding areas, we are in a position to offer a range of security services ranging from Physical Locksmithing, Safes and Grilles, Access Control and CCTV.

In December 2005 Eddie decided to take life a little slower and sold the Business to Initial Electronic Security.  A new company was formed GCD Security (Locksmiths) Ltd trading as the Security Centre based on the retail shop.

Paul Hickman who has been with Eddie since 1979 moved to the Security Centre along with all the Locksmithing staff.  Paul will be running the Company based on the GCD reputation for quality and value for money backed by a first class service.
