Door and Window Furniture

What type of furniture you have on your doors & windows is often dictated by what type of locks you have on them & what type of material they are made from.

  • The new UPVC doors & windows often demand a different handle or knob than the more traditional wooden frames & doors do.
  • If you are with unfamiliar with UPVC furniture it is important that that you are aware of some points that will help you select the correct handle for your door lock. For example the distance from the centre of the cylinder to the centre of the spindle where the handle sits is a vital one to know, as well as realising that most UPVC locks use a Euro profile cylinder unlike most wooden doors that have a 5 lever mortise lock to secure the door.
  • Traditional finishes such as Antique Black Ironwork is now making way for more contemporary finishes such as Polished or Satin Chrome.
  • Plus you can now easily find most of the furniture you have in your house in the finish you want, electrical accessories can match your door handles as can hinges, door knockers, house numbers & door viewers to mention just a few.
  • We have access to a number of major Architectural Ironmongers, such as Hoppe, Eurospec, Carlisle Brass, Prima, M.Marcus, Dortrend, Frank Allert, Heritage Brassware & Asec.
  • We can assist you in your choices & of course are able to install any product that you may have purchased from us. Whether a Lever handle on a Round Rose or Lever handle on a back plate, we can source & install any type of furniture that you select.
